I too have the same problem with the websiteviewer…Clicked on a link a girl sent me from yahoo messenger and it downloaded automaticaly..Spy Bot Seach and Destroy took care of the toolbar that was put up on every web page but i still get directed to http://www.directplugin.com every time i click on any link for mail, profiles, or etc through yahoo. This is of course a porn site. If i check my mail through web browser everything is fine.. Does anyone know how to get ride of my problem?

The way you solve the problem, is to boot up in safe mode with networking. Then, download spybot Search & Destroy. Have it fix all of your problems. Then, go to program_files directory and delete the contents of the websiteviewer directory. Once that happens, your popup windows will go away. However, you will still have an error message come up whenever you boot up and I don’t know how to fix that just yet. It will, however stop the porn from flowing.

chatted on yahoo messenger.
unfortuantely, followed a link that a girl send me.
nex thing that happened was my screen was full of porn-pop ups.
it downloaded a websiteviewer even though i tried to close all pop ups and denied any downloads.

now, i have this program on my pc and i can”t delete it. what it does, it slowed my whole system down and when i follow a link it will open a new window with porn pages….

how can i solve this problem???

i am having a problem. all of a sudden a message pops up saying “please wait loading plugin” then a porn site pops up! i found a folder in my computer that says websiteviewer, i tried to delete it but it says access denied (filename) check and see if disk is full or write-protected. help this pops up every ten minutes or so

These sites are notorious for browser hijacks and adding malicious adware onto your computer. Got this asswipe of a thing on my system and don’t know how it got there. Another site recommended spybot but did not solve the problem. win 2000 pr sts in safe mode w/ command prompt. Used DOS commands to get rid of the files. Done.

Thank all of you for your help with getting rid of the clientman file. I had exactly the same problems that you described here. Finally it worked out to delete it in the safe modus. Thank you for the idea and that you share it with other peolpe.

I too have this Clientman however, I don’t get the error message. I get a box that says “Connection Failure” with the word sh_t in the upper left corner. It just keeps appearing and interrupts my games. I am also having trouble with Windows Explorer. When I close it I get an error and my desktop disappears then I am prompted to recover it. I don’t know that any of this has to do with Clientman but I am going to get rid of it none the less. We shall see. Thanks for the help.

I had to drop you a line to say thanks for the great advise on how to get rid of that useless ‘Client Man’ file. I went into Safe Mode as you suggested and this time it deleted beautifully. Now, no more pop-up windows saying: “msvc32i Application…needs to close”. Back to trouble-free surfing. I am buying you a beer if we ever meet!

Guys:

Thanks for the info on how to get rid of ‘Client Man’ in ones program files. I went through the process suggested: unzipping the file with Winzip, running remcli.exe and immediately rebooting the computer, finding Client Man in the program files folder and then trying to delete it. When I right click on it to expunge this dreaded file, it looks like all will be well until up comes a window with a big red X saying: “Cannot delete msckin.exe: Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use”. What the heck do I do now? I continually get that msvc32i Application window when I go to the Net like everyone else has complained about. Please help!!! Thanks!
