Spammers using random words to stop spam

Posted by geeknews at 12:10 AM on January 14, 2004

Any administrators worth their salt is going to go after spam on many fronts. As I have stated 2-3 times I no longer have a Spam problem since we implemented WCSap which kills nearly 90% of Spam before it gets thru to my mail server. Then the word filtering gets another 5 to 7% but up to this point the random words that spammers are placing in e-mail’s have not hit us and we are killing most of it before I download it. If you want insight on why it is possible to kill spam before it ever arrives read this press release. [Wired]
