Marriott better get a clue

Posted by geeknews at 8:56 PM on January 28, 2004

I am sitting in a Residence Inn in Texas and guess what they do not have broadband. How can a long stay hotel not have broadband they say they cater to business folks. What simply blows me away is the best dial-up connection I can get is 28.8. Well the Hampton Inn across the street is advertising Free Broadband and the banner is pointed directly at the Residence Inn. Now I know why I boycotted Marriott Hotels and Inn’s earlier last year. I was in a pinch this time and had to stay at a Marriott hotel. But I guess that is why I am Hilton Platinum member and only a Silver Award Member with Marriott. Goodbye Residence tomorrow and hello Hilton Hotel. The soul reason you don’t have no frickin broadband. Your lose not mine.

Shameless plug for my company, but Fairmont Hotels and Resorts all have broadband rooms available, as well as wireless in the lobbies and lounges.
