CNet launches Free Music Service

“LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Online technology company CNET Networks Inc. (Nasdaq:CNET – news) on Monday launched a free digital music service, allowing users to search and download what it said were thousands of songs contributed by independent and unsigned artists” [Yahoo]

As many of you know CNet also owns MP3.com which was once had the largest collection od independent artist. CNet acquired the site but has yet to re-launch it into anything meaningful.
