Lindows has favorable ruling against Microsoft

Lindows has won a major decision in the battle for the company to keep it’s name and fight of Microsoft and fight of their claim that Lindows infringes on their monopoly of the term Windows. Attorney Michael Graham stated:

“This ruling is vital to Lindows’/Linspire’s case because if a term is generic, or once it becomes generic, trademark law holds that no amount of advertising or
exclusivity of use can make that term a protectable trademark,” It will be interesting to see hoe this case turns out. [eWeek]
