Should your DVD and CD recording media come with quality rating?

Those of you that are long term readers will remember we went into a lot of details about recordable media becoming corrupt over time. Apparently this issue is starting to get some mainstream attention in that there are some proposals on the table to include a rating of the media quality. In my opinion this is long overdue. Absolutely! I’ve had some stuff go bad on CD’s that I burnt just a few years ago! I certainly think that quality ratings are a good thing.
