There is a program that makes it possible for you to check your gmail from a mail program. The name of the program is: POP Goes the Gmail.

I really don't give a shit about GMAIL any longer. When they open it up for any1 to sign-up to, then maybe It'll interest me. But, come on... why keep wasting blogs, forums and web sites talking about a service that is not available to every1 who wants to use it?

For now, I'm sticking to spymac... also heard about a new rediff mail...

cheers

gmail means beautiful in Arabic , which gmail is.

Don't know much about the languages as I basically use English. However, couple of things that keep me from switching to gmail permanently are:
1) Inability to send or receive exe files either directly or after having them zipped. [Very Important for me]
2) Need for shorter user names. I know their site mentions why the need for longer names, but then, there are users like me willing to go through some limits of spam to have cuter names.
3) POP3, IMAP, etc... They promise it will be there in future :)

Cheers
