So long as Microsoft continues to ship IE and open their OS up to a million and one security holes, everyone has the chance to jump ahead of them - not just Apple. If the department of homeland security is telling people to avoid IE, it's really bad. Personally, I think OS X has been way ahead of anything Microsoft has had to offer since 10.1.
<span class="mt-export2wp"></span>
If MS went big with XML and RSS years ago, they sure forgot to tell the end user. I don't recall IE or Outlook taking advantage of RSS, furthermore Apple's pre-X releases were miles more stable than what MS had to offer regardless of filesystem type (with the exception of Windows 2000 at that point).

Microsoft HAS gone big on XML and RSS years ago... If anyone is jumping on the bandwagon after the ship has been sailing for years, it's apple
