Spellex-Anywhere SUCKS!

Posted by geeknews at 5:58 AM on July 5, 2004

I did a stupid thing earlier this week, I purchased a spell checker to use for online spell checking being I could not get Firefox’s spell checker to work. I went googling and thought I had found a good program, I should have run it a couple of days. What a piece of crap. When it’s running it seems to want to own the clipboard and give it back when it feels like it. It doesn’t recognize when I have put the cursor in a different window. The list goes on, I will be invoking their 30 day satisfaction guaranteed clause. Anyone have a good suggestion for a spell checker to use with Firefox

Sincerely, a spell checker won’t help with the missing puncuation. Nor will one catch the random substitution of “there”, “their”, or “they’re”. Maybe Bryan/Brian or myself will be your/you’re proofreader ;^)

Funny thing is I interviewed with that company 3 years ago. Looks like they could have used my help ;-)
