Attention Music Artist

Posted by geeknews at 10:23 PM on October 25, 2004

Tonight I sent out a total of 11 request to feature yours and other bands music on our Podcast. If you are checking out our site and have little or no information about the Creative Commons License I have included some additional information in the extended entry. We understand some of you may be under a recording contract with a label on this list. If you are we will not be able to feature your music under any circumstances.

Thank you for checking out our site and we look forward to featuring your non RIAA controlled music.

PROTECT YOUR CREATIVE CONTENT!
If you as an artist wish to retain certain rights to your song but still wish to allow for its ditribution at IndieFeed, we recommend that you establish a Creative Commons license. This is very easily achieved by going to the linked website and creating your license for free. The clearest way for Geek News Central to use your work is by choosing the following:

Attribution: You let others copy, distribute, display, and perform your copyrighted work

iRate is a great way to find/get non-RIAA music. Last time i saw, they had over 45,000 songs.
