Is the PDA headed for extinction?

I must admit that the PDA I bought last year was a complete waste of my hard earned dollars, I should have known better. My laptop is with me at all times and the few times it wasn’t the iPAQ was in the bag with the computer. I usually use the PDA to play solitaire on airplanes. I know I have a need for a Tablet but the price is too high yet for me to justify the expense. A lot of people are buying phones with PDA’s built into them which makes a lot more sense, I would be inclined to have that functionality on a phone so long as the keep the size down thus I could sync it with my laptop via Bluetooth this would indeed be useful.
