Computer Ownership to Double by 2010

PC ownership to ‘double by 2010′  (BBC News)

The number of personal computers worldwide is expected to double by 2010 to 1.3 billion machines, say analysts. The growth will be driven by emerging markets such as China, Russia and India, the report predicted. My question is, what operating system will these new markets use on their PC’s? China has already endorsed their Red Linux. Will Linux finally get it’s chance, or will these new markets continue to use pirated Windows versions?
