Like you, I’ve never had a mac. I was thinking about buying a mac to burn DVD’s using idvd, hoping it would be faster. My windows machine (1.6GHz P4) that has firewire and a dvd-rw drive has to run all night to burn a dvd.)
Just curious if anyone reading your website has taken a mac mini and a external dvd-rw and made a dvd? How fast is the process?
Also, from your podcast, it sounds like you haven’t read Anand’s article on his experience with a mac. He also didn’t like not knowing where things installed…
