Which Browsers are the Fastest?

Posted by geeknews at 3:08 PM on February 11, 2005

A guy in the UK has published results of tests he ran on Mac, Windows, and Linux, with as many browsers as he could load on each system. He tested them for cold starting, warm starting, CSS Rendering speed, table rendering speed, script speed, multiple image display time, and history. He then split them into the three OS divisions and made some detailed charts on the results. Yes, the results will surprise you, and no, they may not be lab quality tests, but he does lay out the exact manner in which they were performed. It’s a good read indeed. Check it out here
