Update: Yahoo says the copyright notice in the RSS feed was a mistake and that it was never supposed to be there. It is to be fixed shortly.
It was brought to my attention today that Yahoo is copyrighting the RSS feeds for those that are setting up Yahoo 360 accounts. Some are already refusing to use the service because in a sense Yahoo now owns your content.
This may be a oversight on Yahoo’s part and I hope it is, I will probaly use their service anyway but probably not the blog portion and give them some time to answer these issues. [Yahoo 360 Copyrights Personal RSS Feeds]

I hope Yahoo comes clean on this. I sent you a invite but I guess your not going to use it. I was just trying to be nice. I feel pretty stupid now. Thanks Yahoo.
I clarified my remarks it is still going to be a great service so dont feel bad they will have some growing pains.
Jimw,
I am very interested in the Yahoo 360! Service. What do you like about the service? Is there anything that you think Yahoo is doing that sets itself apart from the others?
Thank you.
How a cut-n-paste can ruin your day: A clarification and a fix for Yahoo! 360
The volume of response to the Yahoo! 360 beta has been unprecedented and we are excited to see so many people sending their feedback in the first days of our maiden voyage. Along the way folks have made lots of great suggestions, praised and panned the features, and found some problems in the beta
That is great to hear. I also sent them an email on that matter. Wow. Don’t you just love this stuff.
That is great to hear.
Yahoo! 360 Copyrighting User’s Blogs?
It has been reported that Yahoo! 360 has placed a “Copyright 2005, Yahoo!” in the RSS feeds of it’s users. An update on the Geek News Central site has reported that Yahoo! has stated that the copyright message was a mistake and will be removed shortly….

This must have hurt. The disclaimer that they added to my original Yahoo 360 entry, is found several other sites around the blogosphere, Geek News for example. Weirdly enough, they started with “How a cut-n-paste can ruin your day”…
