Wall-sized E-Ink electronic newspaper

Toppan Printing is showing off a wall-sized electronic newspaper using their E-Ink technology at the big EXPO 2005 thats taking place in Aichi, Japan right now. Called the aceYomiuri Global Newspaper,  the electronic paper is 2.2 meters high and 2.6 meter wide and is made up of 272 individual electronic paper tiles, which are a combination of E-Ink frontplanes laminated onto printed circuit boards with pixel electrodes. Only the headlines and text are actually displayed on the electronic paper, color photos are displayed on a plain old LCD.
