I reallyl prefer Newsgator for web based RSS reading. It displays the number of new items in each feed, and allows you to read whatever items are newest in any of your feeds, rather than just having to select which of your feeds to read all of the entries from. It is my understanding that Bloglines does not do either. I have posted a short explanation of Newsgator, and set up a demonstration account that anyone can access, at http://marshallk.blogspot.com/2005/04/sample-feed-aggregator-account-created.html

I’v also got a short description of what RSS is on my blog’s table of contents, via http://marshallk.blogspot.com

I’m glad you are posting about RSS, as it is a technology that has the power to drastically change peoples’ information gathering practices. It’s awesome!
