Goodbye Sprint EVDO

Posted by geeknews at 12:35 AM on May 21, 2008

Two days ago I was a happy Sprint customer, today I am shopping for a new carrier. Someone at Sprint Corporate has simply lost their minds.

I pay as much for my Sprint EVDO connection as I pay for my home Internet Service. Yet these fools have decided that 5gb per month is a cap that they have to impose, even after admitting that only 1% of their users are busting those caps.

Thus they are going to destroy customer relations with 99% of those customers that rely on the service by imposing caps. If I wanted a service with a CAP I would have been on Verizon or AT&T a long time ago. With recent reports that Sprint is now the slowest of the three carriers the choice is simple, if I am going to have to endure caps I might as well be on a faster service.

Here is my recommendation to Verizon and AT&T raise your EVDO and 3G caps to at least 10gb per month that will make the Corporate brain children at Sprint blink.

Sprint overcharged my small (US) company for over $50,000.00. We caught them doing it and now they refuse to refund the over-payments. You can read the full story at http://www.sprint-really-sucks.com
