adsense is a load of crap. I had an account with them for well over 5 yrs and never made much money. recently my blog has taken off so I started actually making some money with the ads. Last night they disabled my account and sent me a form letter. wow thanks google for thanks I get for my loyalty. I returned the favor and since there is no way to contact them I sent my complaint to the BBB.

Adsense might sound good in theory, but in my experience the ads tend to theme from the site tags h1,h2,etc, and less from the content on the site, so the ads that you get tend to be a load of crap.

I have been running Google Adsense for a little over three years now and have been making less each year although last year in the first quarter I had my best 3 months yet. Google is always tweaking Adsense mainly because of Internet Marketers that are always trying to dishonestly beat the system. In the long run it really hurts legitimate business folks. "black hat" tactics are primarily what drives some of Google's changes in their Adsense algorithms. It will settle down at some point and we can all hope to use our creativity instead, to make Adsense revenue.

I have been using them for about 3 years now. I have two sites that I run. A tech blog and a military forum. While the blog doesn't really get much traffic to begin with the revenue from the forum has slowly been going up for me, about $2-$5 per month now for the last year or two.

I had one stint where a newspaper did an article on the military site (e-mail me if you want the link to the articles, not a better moment for me) and income jumped up significantly that month, (Around $750). Now I am able to fufill my two latte a day habit at starbucks with just the money from Google.

Cut and paste, here are my stats from last month. Which I think isn't too bad.

390,192 630 0.16% $0.57 $222.65

I won't be surprised if next month is over $230-$250, but also won't be surprised if its under $200. I will admit that 2 years ago my eCPM was twice what it is now. I also changed the theme around the time I started making less which decides ad placement, I changed back two weeks ago and I think that may have a drastic effect. We'll see!

HI,

That's quite true! the Google adsense earning has dropped quite sharply.. many bloggers and website owners are now searching for other options as well.

I m waiting for Google adsense to come up with something to counter this.

Regards
