I thought how the pinging was supposed to work was as soon as I published a post, it would go out and ping INSTANTLY. Just that blog post, and only once. That&#039;s really all I ask, and really all I expected it to do. I don&#039;t need to setup something like a stupid cron job that goes out every hour and pings sites.</description>

		<description>The ping feature in WordPress is worthless. I was unaware that it did not ping based on the blog post either. Say you write 2-3 blog posts in an hour, when it pings, the ping is going to use your latest blog post to ping with. I just looked at 2.6 and 2.7 source code, it appears to have the same behavior. Very disappointing.

I spent a lot of time developing the ping solution in the RawVoice Generator to make sure the specific posts are pinged. For the longest time I thought WordPress was doing it better that I did.</description>
