		<description>Well spoken!  Heck, I&#039;ve been an Apple user since back in the late 1980&#039;s, and I generally love their products and services - especially design.  But that won&#039;t stop me from dropping them like a hot rock if they start with forced adverts. Even if I don&#039;t encounter them because I pay a higher price for the product, the fact that they embrace such a technology would lower my respect for them, which could impact my purchasing habits.  Ubuntu is improving rapidly.

But seriously, as much as I am not a fan of Apple&#039;s control-freak approach to their products, I believe it is not uncommon for large companies to patent technologies they may well never use, if for no other reason than to keep a competitor from using it, or to charge those competitors licensing fees for using the technology.</description>
