Dragon Naturally Speaking Demo CES 2010

Posted by geeknews at 7:14 PM on January 20, 2010

Nuance the leader in translation software has introduced Dragon Naturally Speaking version 10, and it has a host of new features and more importantly it is more accurate then ever. I have been using a trial copy provided by Nuance and over past editions I have owned and used this is a vast improvement and worth the upgrade.

One challenge I have had in the past is in it’s ability to learn technical terms, so far this version is working very well when you take the time to correct mistakes and the software seems to get smarter after each use.

Audio-Technica LP-120 USB Turntable CES 2010

Posted by geeknews at 6:29 PM on January 20, 2010

In 2009 Audio-Technica shocked the world by retiring an icon turntable that resulted in some turmoil on the web. What most did not realize Audio-Technica was releasing a new and modern turntable with USB connectivity with the same professional build of it’s predecessor. Being a bit of a LP snob I was excited to see this new addition to their product line-up. If you have a pile of LP’s that you have been wanting to listen to, or to convert to digital this is the perfect USB LP Player to get high quality captures of your LP Collection.

Mr. Gates,The Gates Notes Podcast needs an RSS Feed!

Posted by geeknews at 3:58 PM on January 20, 2010

Mr Gates welcome to the world of podcasting I am very excited to have the chance to  subscribe to your content series. Sadly your newly launched website does not have an RSS feed. As you well know, to get your content onto mobile media devices like the Zune through the Zune MarketPlace and even iTunes, your podcast content needs an RSS feed with enclosures so that we can subscribe.

My team at RawVoice would like to extend a helping hand if needed to get your content “podcast ready”, so that your content can be easily syndicated and consumed worldwide.  I am sure you have a fabulous tech team and will not need any assistance although my offer stands, so please give them a nudge and tell them to get your content podcast compliant.

When your team gets your podcast content in compliance have them reach out to rob@zune.net, he will make sure your show gets listed in the Zune Marketplace ASAP.

Let me finish by saying welcome to the world of podcasting!
