Check out Steve Gibson's program Wizmo http://grc.com/wizmo/wizmo.htm It's a small command line program that you can set up to do different operations, I use it for rebooting and Shutdown shortcuts on win xp and win 2000, in fact I reprogrammed a couple of buttons on my ms keyboard pro, so that I only need to push a button to restart or shutdown windows. e.g. this is the command for shutdown \WINDOWS\system\wizmo.exe shutdown simple as that. This is an impressive tool with dozens of interesting screen saver effects.
