CompUSA shopper beware

Seems CompUSA has changed it's return policy and is now charging a 15% re-stocking fee. I have not experienced this myself but several people have and I wonder if it is a sign of stores becoming very strict on return policies. [Addicted to Digital Media]

Dyre Straits:

This is not a change of policy. It's been this way for many years. It only affects items that are returned with no intention of exchanging for an identical item.

Many stores and suppliers have a similar policy.

David:

Yes, it's been that way for a while. The solution? Go to Best Buy, where return policies are much nicer.
