How corrupt are News Agencies

I have always marveled at how a certain news agencies spin and distort and nearly flat out lie on stories they publish. I would think after the New York Times fired some reporters for making up stories and distorting the facts that others would learn and clean up their act. But it seems Reuters has a story on the wires that is being reported different by bloggers on the scene. [Techdirt]
