Google Gmail Reviewed

A few bloggers have gotten access to Gmail and there are a couple of reviews that make you say ouch. Hey Google when are you going to invite me to test the service. Anyway a very interesting review and I am sure it is the type of feedback the Gang at Google are looking for. [diveintomark.org]

I've been messing around with Gmail the past few days, and I'm a bit surprised by all the negative reactions to it. I think people are just looking for a reason to beat on Google.

Gmail does things a bit differently, and I'm not sure whether or not users will like the way things are arranged. However, it *is* free - and does offer a ton of storage. While there may be a slight learning curve, I'd bet people sign up for it in droves.

Personally, I think some of the features are fairly innovative in a "well, of course email should work this way" sort of way, and it makes you wonder why no one else has added them to their own email clients.
