Some Movable Type users abandon Ship

Some Movable Type users are moving to Word Press, I have not even looked at the product, but have seen some of the write-ups and reviews. For those that have very generic site designs I am sure the move is a easy one. It would take me a lot to consider moving being that I have a significant investment in our site design. Our web designer is closely tied to the development team at Six Apart and I have faith the roll-out of new features will be on the fast track. I have went ahead and purchased MT Version 3.0 that I felt would serve us best and put my money where my mouth is. I have been vocal about the changes but being vocal and deserting six apart are two different things [Mystical Matthew's Blog]

I don't know about Wordpress but I hardly think it can be worse than MT. From what I've seen of the MT system it is obsolete. Not worth paying a single penny for unless they manage to make a real CMS out of v3.
I don't understand this loyalty. Well I do, but I still think it is nauseating. I agree that the conversion process will be cumbersome but what does it matter if it's worth it in the end.

There are far better CMS solutions than MT and WP out there ...
