I have had some interesting conversations on a airplane before and have run into a lot of diverse people, but Scoble scored big when he sat by a eBay executive. The eBay executive did a Data dump on him. At least he didn't get stuck by the Baptist Missionary like I did a few weeks ago that was on a crusade to save souls. [Scobleizer]

I think Scobleizers facts and your "are weblogs being read" article tie together. Those "facts" miss the point of ebay as a social phenomenon. It's much easier to communicate with the world on ebay than on a blog.

Hmm, but I don't need to buy or sell anything on a blog.
By the way, two weeks ago I sat next to a private school principle (Methodist). Not quite as bad as a Baptist, but not as interesting as sitting next to an eBay exec.
