In Toastmasters your initial speech is called your “Ice Breaker”. This is my initial post on GeekNewsCentral, my Ice Breaker. I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself and give you a little background information.

My name is Tim Verpoorten and I own Surf-Bits.com, Learning Mac With a Switcher. I’ve been doing Surf-Bits for the last several years. Recently I was asked to be a contributing editor to Lockergnome’s OSX channel. Since the head Geek here at GNC is swamped with everything going on right now, he agreed to allow me to be the Mac Geek on GeekNewsCentral. I plan on passing along some great Mac tips and news in the months to come, starting next month with MacWorld Expo. I will be there to bring you the latest news and products along with hopefully, a few interviews for Todd’s Podcast.
