New iTunes Deletes Songs without DRM

Their are a few pissed off people this morning. It seems, some people have been buying music from Apple iTunes, then stripping the DRM info with a utility from the Hymn project.

The latest iTunes update is removing files that have had the DRM info stripped out of the AAC files. I just wonder if iTunes is expecting DRM info in every AAC file. Supposedly the hymn team have developed a work-around already, but their is a even divide of people saying tough luck and those that believe in fair use of the music they purchase.

I understand why people want to do this. I own more than one type of media player and depending on what I am going to use that day will be what I load up with music. [MacSlash]
