Google WiFi wifi.google.com ?

Looks like Google is getting ready to roll out WiFi service the question is where, and how much will it cost or will it be free and destroy all the economic models of companies that are charging ridiculous prices for WiFi in large cities.

We know Goggle has been buying up broadband capacity so it looks to me like they are getting ready to offer something big here. [wifi.google.com/download.html]

Would this just not give all of the wireless providers a fit. I can't wait!

If you read the FAQ's, it is going to be a free service, but only avaialbe in the San Fransico Bay Area right now.

I found a good & free alternative to Google Wifi. On http://www.iopus.com/ipig you can download a freeware + SERVER vpn solution that is really easy to set up. Much easier than OpenVPN. Thus you can use either the iopus VPN server or your own server, which I think is good solution with regards to all privacy concerns.
