Yahoo drinks the RSS Koolaid in a big way!

Yahoo has fully integrated RSS into Yahoo Mail where you can now have your RSS feeds in you mailbox and they have also got it tied to Yahoo Alerts so that you can be notified when a RSS feed updates. Personally I think the alerts portion is a little over the top. But If you can configure it to trigger on keywords that would be pretty huge. Only those that have a Yahoo Mail Beta can see what they have incorporated.

But one issue I have had with the Yahoo Podcast site is that it is really slow to update. I am curious if they are going to have some of the same problems with these services. So what's next on RSS announcements this year? [Techcrunch]
