del.icio.us to Yahoo

Great for the folks at del.icio.us but is this good for the greater net. I keep seeing great social networks getting picked off by Major companies. I am beginning to wonder if the machine that we have created as a community through need to route around the man is just being bought up by the man.

Personally I would have been willing to support del.icio.us with a yearly contribution had they been able to keep the site independent. I am subscribed a great number of people's list but what exactly is Yahoo going to do with that info when they tie users to out Yahoo user names. [blog.del.icio.us]

Hey Todd - now that Yahoo! have bought Flickr and Del.icio.us - who do you think their next target will be?

Can you think of any application which connects to both Flickr and Del.icio.us?

Who the Flock is next I wonder?
