I looked at the Speaker list for Supernova, and even though I can't even afford to go (cost is $2500.00) the list does not surprise me, it's the typical Pay to Play list. Marc suggest having a similar conference down the street in a bar, charge nothing for it and invite fresh voices to talk about the space. This to me sounds like it would be worth a airplane ride. Living in Hawaii requires some hard choices on what events to attend, seeing the price of Supernova who wants to attend an event that is just another payola conference.
