BuyDomains.com shady lock in Practices

I have a handful of domains (11) that are still on a old registrar that I used to use. When they come up for renewal I have been transferring them over to GoDaddy. Well last night my daughters domain was within that renewal window and I decided to move it. To do so you have to unlock the domain then submit the transfer request to get it moved.

I logged in under the only login I have ever had, selected the domain choose unlock and it would not unlock. Everything I did it would not unlock. But they did over me 15% discount on a renewal and asked me to look at things on the page that did not exist.

Strike One

Next I sent a e-mail to customer support asking for help unlocking the domain, the reply I got back shocked me they asked for my account password to verify who I am. Well I'll be honest I have seen dozens of ways to verify a identity but never have I been asked for a password.

Strike Two

This e-mail banter went on for several exchanges with the last one from them asking me to go into control panel and unlocking the domain myself!!! What a bunch of idiots. These folks do not deserve to be in the domain registration business. Even after a phone call to tech support the domains remain locked. I am not at all happy. Here is the deal you need to stay away from BuyDomains.com.

I will now be escalating this issue and we will see where it goes.
