You asked in what people are doing for their spam solution. I have a seperate host that is doing all of my spam and virus checking for my domains. This uses amavisd-new to run the spam and virus checkers, and then when it finds a message , it gets quarantined on the server.

Then the Maia Mailguard software provides a web based interface to check view the quarantine and adjust each users settings.

This has worked very well for us, and in fact I am scanning email for domains for other individuals and businesses.
