Mars Rover and Orbiter Examine Victoria Crater

NasaYou did not forget that the Mars Rovers are still collecting valuable science. Well not only do we have a two Rovers on the ground but we also have the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter taking overhead pictures that are beyond compare of anything that has been taken of the red planet before.

What set me back in my chair was that the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter images are detailed enough to see the Rovers tire tracks. Now if that does not impress you I am not sure what will. The linked article has a detailed picture that makes it very clear how far we have come in the exploration of the red planet. [NASA]
