24hr Podcast Rundown and Connection Instructions

The 24hr Podcast is about 36 hours away and I wanted to share the details of the event and talk about some expectations. I really do expect this event to be very dynamic event and have planned on being very flexible.

It should be noted while we have a number of guest scheduled this does not mean that their time slots are exclusive but are to be catalyst to help drive participation in the conversation. This event is about having a open conversation where people can connect and share information.

During this event I will focus on Technology, Science, Podcasting, New Media, Life, Family etc. Every person that attends the event and calls into the live discussion area will have time to talk

You are free to plug your shows and companies. We hope that everyone will be respectfully of each participants positions. I am also hoping that some people will live blog the event to help with what is discussed throughout the event and any nuggets that may come to light.

Guest: I ask that Scheduled Guest be dialed into the Talkcast system 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appearance. It is VERY highly recommend that you call in via Land Line if possible. International guest IP based calls are ok. If you call in to the TalkCast via a IP connection make sure you have minimized all Internet Traffic on your desktop.

Participants: Please mute your phones, headsets as feedback loops get created when you have the show on your speaker with a open mic. If you do not mute your phone and cause a feedback loop into the meeting I will be forced to mute you.

How to connect. You can watch the Ustream Stream here at Geek News Central or on Ustream. To connect to the Live TalkCast Session you should go to this page and Join the TalkCast the dial in number is +1 724–444–7444 Talkcast ID is 10832

If I get disconnected please be patient as I will be back in the session or have the session restarted shortly.

Schedule of Guest that will be joining me! Hawaii is GMT -10

Again this event if going to be a open forum discussion and you can jump into the conversation. Want to help me stay awake in the 0000 to 0600 HST on Saturday join me when you get out of bed Saturday morning and lets talk story.

Various Hawaii Podcasters have indicated they are going to come hang out with me for this event. My door here in Hawaii is open to all Podcasters and Media that want to come and hang out.

Various portions of this event will be recorded edited and made available online. The first person to catch me sleeping on Ustream in each of the hours between 2300 HST and 0600 HST wins $25.00 cash

See you on Friday and don't forget this is a benefit to raise money for One Laptop Per Child and you can send your donations to podcast@podcastconnect.com. All that donate will be in the running to win one of the laptops from the 2 for 1 program that they have going no through the end of the year.
