Scoble says "What’s your audience size?”

I could really talk about this subject for several hours and will at the right opportunity.

Scoble goes into a number of talking points in which he lays out what he thinks is more important than Audience Size. I don’t fully agree with the points he makes but those points have worked for him.

I will tell you from my perspective what is giving new media creators that have relative small audiences the ability to quit their day jobs and it can be summed up in one word.

“ENGAGEMENT”

Podcasters will say to me Todd, I am only reaching (put your audience size here) listeners each show. My response is does your boss or his boss reach that same sized audience each time they speak publicly? The response is usually no.

I tell people to not focus on the Audience Size but instead focus on getting the audience “Engaged” make them part of the show. When you are able to that then you will be well on your way to quitting your day job. Scobleizer
