With a downward economy and a looming quarterly earning report just around the quarter at Yahoo, the Yahoo board probably realizes that they need to move forward even though I am sure it is with great resistance.

It really does not come as surprise to me that the two are now talking for all the posturing they have had over the past month. I am predicting that the merger will move forward, and the shareholders will rejoice that they get the price Microsoft is offering.

It should be exciting to see what happens and from the sidelines their will definitely be a lot to talk about. CNET
