HEXBUG Review (A Cool Stocking Stuffer)

2008hexbugAbout 3–4 months ago I was exposed to a HEXBUG at some event I was at and found them to be pretty cool. So when the folks at HEXBUG sent me a couple to review I thought this would be something my kids would get into.

I am always getting products that I have to tell them hands off as I don’t want to have to send a product back damaged. But this time I said go for it.

I received both a Inchworm Micro Robotic Creature and a Crab Micro Robotic creature. The kids had them on just about any flat surface we had here. While my younger son 4 like the Crab Micro my older kids 11–12 liked the Inchworm Micro the best.

The Inchworm comes with a remote control and they were able to manipulate where they went easily. The Crab Micro fitted the youngest fine as it responds to sounds and light intensity. He had a lot of fun scaring his mom by hiding it under a overturned bowl which when removed caused the Crab Micro to seek darkness.

These would make great stocking stuffers for the 10 and under age group. They retail between $14.99 and $19.00 available soon at Radio Shacks Nation Wide or at Hexbug.com

Notice: Hexbug provided review units all gear reviewed by Geek News Central is used in the real world for at least a 3 day period.
