GoDaddy Super Bowl Advertisements

While not everyone likes the GoDaddy Super Bowl advertisements, you have to admit this year, they really threw us a curve ball in announcing the latest GoDaddy.co girl. While I am sure they used some video editing to give the new GoDaddy girl the figure of a 21 year old . I really did find the angle of the ad as the work of a genius.

If you have not seen the new GoDaddy girl, I am not going to spoil it for you as you have to watch the ad yourself. Congrats to the GoDaddy team for making me laugh during the Super Bowl, very few ads this year did that.

Bob Parsons is the man in coming up with a marketing message that guarantees everyone knows who the leader is in domain registrations is.

Did you get your .mobi domains or do you care?

Mobi I’ll be the first to admit I went and secured a number of .mobi domains today at $14.95 each! They are definitely not cheap. I decided to only get those I felt I really needed.

Some of you may ask why would you buy .mobi domains? Well I will give you an example load godaddy.mobi in a mobile phone and tell me what you see.

Sometimes you need to separate the wheat from the chaff! By having a ,mobi domain smart site owners will be able to serve mobile devices content they can effectively use on a mobile device.

My bet is there are going to be a lot of plugins for blogs and podcasters that will be designed to help us have efficient content designed to displayed on mobile devices via the .mobi domains.

The add/drop scheme of Domain registrars

I like Bob Parsons that man tells it the way it is. Well it seem Bob is a bit pissed of and wants some resolution to the add/drop domain scheme which is in my opinion, illegally squatting on millions of domain names by outright pirates. The issue is getting worse and he wants it stopped. [Bob Parsons]
