Richard Hyde:

Hi Todd,

You asked about troubles people are having with Leopard, well the only issue I have with my MacBook Pro running 10.5 is that every so often when I'm using it unconnected to a lan/wan is that one of the services (DirectoryService) runs off at up to 190% CPU and drains the battery quickly if not plugged into power. Other than the printer I had set-up in Tiger disappearing after the upgrade it's been trouble free.

Overall I'm very happy with Leopard. I'm a slider, using Windows at work and Linux and Mac at home, and I'd have to say I've had the least amount of trouble with Leopard than I've had upgrading any other OS.

At least Apple are releasing fixes to the teething troubles. How long have we been waiting for Vista SP1? There are still bugs with XP which I've given up hope of Microsoft ever fixing.

Good luck with the new house, hope it settles into a home soon.
